Workshop “Eco Escovinha” - recycling toothbrushes
Project Aims
- Raise awareness for the adoption of regular and correct brushing habits.
- Promote regular toothbrush Exchange.
- Valuing the toothbrush as recyclable waste.
- Recognize the need to selectively collect the toothbrush for later recycling.
EcoEscovão arises based on the following assumptions:
- The toothbrush is considered a mixed plastic, consisting of a mixture of different types of plastics, with different characteristics and textures.
- Mixed plastics make up about 15% of Urban Solid Waste.
- Selective waste collection minimizes climate change.
- Toothbrushes can be recycled in a simple way and transformed into urban furniture.
