BCCI Is Standing for India or It’s Just a Hush-Hush Club

Ratnakar Shetty, chief administrative officer of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, said about the displacement of Indian cricket teams in the Asian Games due to their international commitments.

It's very unfortunate to know that so called India cricket team is not participated in Asian games it was a global event and cricket is the small part of the same. This event was covered by over all International media prominently all surroundings country's like Pakistan, Srilanka, Afganistan, Bangladesh etc. participated in the 16th edition of the Games held in Guangzhou, China, from November 12 to 27 and the BCCI's backed out amounts to missing a couple of potential medals. It was just a matter of 15 days adjustment we all know that BCCI is the most power full board in the world, and they were not capable to extend their New Zeland tours eventually cricket is being played by only nine foremost countries and it's very easy to understand the accountability of any schedule. When Leander Pace, Mahesh Bhupati, Sania Mirja are continually participating in such events why Indian cricket team didn't play in Asian Games where they were represented India by the name of India not by the name of BCCI.

IOA secretary-general Randhir Singh lashed out at the BCCI. "I'm very, very dissatisfied," he said. "It really hurts since we were really keen to have the cricket in this multi-discipline event.

Singh said "Cricket is a major sport in our country and we expected medals from the Asian Games. China built great facilities for cricket. So the Indian board's decision is unfortunate.

Is BCCI just a private organization? Which moves just for their profit statement? They got a chance to represent INDIA but they refused the opportunity. India has given uncountable love to cricket but if it is being only calculated by earnings what would be the value generations of their role model and in what way public would like to follow them. Government control over BCCI is needed to sustain this game as a national pride of India.
