Have your drone pitch, drone player, or tuner ready. Have a Concert Bb playing.
Your first spot to adjust is between the barrel and upper body joint. Strive for a "beat-less" sound while you play your G. It is perfectly acceptable to guess and check. Remember to use your shading fingering.
Your second spot to adjust is between the two body joints. Play a C below the staff making adjustments to find the best match with the drone pitch.
Your final spot to adjust is between the lower body joint and the barrel. Play "long C" above the break and make any adjustments if you need to. This adjustment will only affect notes using the "lower" and "lower neighbor" pinky keys.
