Make sure you are not applying too much force to the rods of the clarinet as you twist to the two body joints together.
Make sure to press down the "D" hole while you twist the body joints together. *This is covered in detail in the video.*
Make sure the holes are lined up properly as shown in the front-view picture.
Make sure your thumb placement matches the picture below.
Your fingers should be naturally curved as shown in the pictures below.
Cover each hole with the pads of your fingers.
Your pinky should rest on the key we call "lower."
