"You're Really Close"
So my friend Collin says this thing all the time — “You’re really close.” He uses it when someone says something random or totally not funny… and it kinda just became a thing. Then I started saying it. Then my friend Jordan did. Then our whole group.
And that’s when I realized — it’s like this domino effect. The stuff our friends say, the way they act, even their energy… it all rubs off on us. We’re still our own person, but the people we hang out with totally shape who we become.
In this episode, I’m talking about why that happens (there’s actually science behind it), what it means to be “a living mosaic” of everyone you know, and how choosing your circle can literally change who you grow into.
We pick things up from our friends — words, jokes, habits, and energy.
We’re still our own person, but who we hang around shapes us.
“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.”
Choose people who bring out your best — they help you become who you’re meant to be.
