Introduction

Proto-Magellanians were the first of three major waves of migration towards the continents of Cipangu and Magellania. The Proto-Magellanians arrived long ago from either Eurasia or Oceania. At around 20,000 BP they were already present on both continents. Some indications point at an even older arrival as long ago as 40,000 years ago. 

Proto-Magellanians are a highly diverse group, which belong to neither a single language family nor ethnic group. They inhabit several areas on both continents, but are not dominant on either. In most places they have become a marginalized minority.
