Domesticated cervids play an important role for the peoples of Cipangu. Cervid domestication began with the introduction of domesticated reindeer from Siberia. Apart from reindeer and reindeer hybrids, there are several native domesticated species of cervids. The genus Maruscus in particular is commonly found in the harsh climate of the Tuqturxta plateau.
The nobility of the Tuqturxta, the Geex owns vasts herds of Marush. Additionally the temples themselves also own herds, which they lend out to their followers. The people of Tuqturxta use their wool, their hide, meat and to a lesser extend milk and dairy products as well.
