Description: In BNB’s Youth Programs, participants have the opportunity to learn everything from basic bike maintenance and city riding to all the skills needed to work as a bicycle mechanic. Maybe you’re someone who needs to learn how to ride, maybe you want to take home your very first bike, or maybe you’re an experienced rider; no matter who you are there is a BNB program for you. Kennedy Pool (Somerville) - lifeguard opportunity
Deadline: Currently hiring
Requirements: 16+, Comfortable swimming. (Please note: Possessing a current certification or being a swim team level swimmer is not necessary) US work authorization/social security number required
Description: They are looking for lifeguards, swim instructors, and a front desk attendant at the Kennedy Pool. They offer free training and American Red Cross lifeguard certification courses for hired employees. See flyer for more info.
Commitment/Cost: Multiple shifts available in the afternoon, evenings, and weekends:
- Mondays and Wednesdays afternoons/evenings
- Tuesdays and Thursdays afternoons/evenings
- Friday afternoons/evening
- Saturday morning/afternoon
- Tuesday mornings
- Thursday mornings
- Friday mornings
Must be able to get to the Kennedy School (near Porter Square) for shifts!

Angell Animal Hospital VOlunteering

Requirements: Age 16 or older
Description: Angell Animal Medical Center is a fast-paced, 24 hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital. We are located at 350 S. Huntington Ave. in Boston, Massachusetts.
We are seeking dedicated volunteers who are interested in contributing to the daily operations of the Angell Animal Medical Center. This is a unique experience to become exposed to the field of animal medicine while assisting staff with various tasks.
Volunteer assignments may include the following:
Seeing how an animal hospital runs behind the scenes
Greeting, escorting, and engaging with hospital clients in our visiting hour program
Helping tackle our mountain of laundry
Cleaning cages, restocking food, and washing dishes in our inpatient wards
Participating in our comfort care program - an opportunity for our experienced volunteers to help comfort and sooth hospitalized pets in need of some companionship
Commitment: 6 month commitment, with shifts at least twice per month on a consistent schedule.
