Description: Green Ambassadors work on Cathleen Stone Island (in the Boston Harbor Islands) on hands-on projects that positively impact the environment while learning technical skills, team-building and social emotional skills. Green Ambassadors learn about today’s pressing environmental justice challenges and work on hands-on projects that positively impact the environment. The program also includes a 3-day camping expedition on Cathleen Stone Island.
Commitment/Pay: Tuesday, July 7th to Friday, August 14th, 4 days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, The morning ferry will leave from EDIC at 8:00AM. The afternoon boat will depart the island at 4:00PM and return to the mainland around 4:30PM.
Students are paid $15 in their first year, with pay increasing every year.

Description: Angell Animal Medical Center is a fast-paced, 24 hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital. We are located at 350 S. Huntington Ave. in Boston, Massachusetts.
We are seeking dedicated volunteers who are interested in contributing to the daily operations of the Angell Animal Medical Center. This is a unique experience to become exposed to the field of animal medicine while assisting staff with various tasks.
Volunteer assignments may include the following:
Seeing how an animal hospital runs behind the scenes
Greeting, escorting, and engaging with hospital clients in our visiting hour program
Helping tackle our mountain of laundry
Cleaning cages, restocking food, and washing dishes in our inpatient wards
Participating in our comfort care program - an opportunity for our experienced volunteers to help comfort and sooth hospitalized pets in need of some companionship
Commitment: 6 month commitment, with shifts at least twice per month on a consistent schedule.
