Description: The program runs from Monday, July 7 through Friday, August 15. Teen Leaders will meet: Mondays–Thursdays 9:30 am-4:30 pm and Fridays 9:30am-1:30pm. Boch Center Shubert Theatre at 265 Tremont Street in Boston’s Theatre District near the Boylston (Green Line) and Tufts Medical (Orange Line) T stops Teens Leaders will develop skills to succeed as community leaders through advocacy, college and career readiness, and performing arts training in dance, music and acting while earning $15* an hour for 25 hours per week. Teens will teach interactive workshops for children in Boston community centers and present an original performance tour throughout Boston. The summer concludes with a Final Showcase created and performed by the Teen Leaders at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre

Description: Summer internships in Arts, Design, & Media in Boston offer high school students an exciting opportunity to explore creative careers in professional settings. Open to students age 16 and older in grades 10–12, these paid internships provide hands-on experience in areas such as graphic design, photography, video production, digital media, fashion, illustration, and marketing design.
Interns earn $16–$18 per hour while building creative portfolios, learning industry tools, and collaborating on real projects. Participants develop valuable skills in creativity, visual communication, teamwork, and project management — all while gaining insight into careers in the arts and media industries. This is a great opportunity for motivated students to express their creativity and gain meaningful experience over the summer.

Description: Do you ever stop to wonder who imagined and created the spaces you live, study, and work in everyday? Are you curious about the way stuff works? Do you find yourself questioning your surroundings and wondering how you can make them better?
We partner with Sasaki, one of the most multi-disciplinary design firms in the industry, to introduce students to the powerful and impactful world of design. Through a six-week paid internship students are guided through a design project by experts in architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, and much more to gain an understanding of the industry and what it's like to work on a collaborative design project.

Description: Artward Bound is a free, four-year college prep program for Boston high school students interested in a college education focused on art and design. Students participate in art classes, career workshops, academic tutoring, visits to museums and artist studios, and more. Each summer, Artward Bound students are immersed in six weeks of artmaking and academics on MassArt’s campus.
Commitment/Pay: Program is free! Students in good standing are eligible for financial stipends and can earn college credit after completing a full year with Artward Bound.

Description: Artists For Humanity (AFH) employs Boston teens to work with Painting, 3D Design, Graphic Design, Creative Technology, Video Production, Photography, or Print Making. In collaboration with artist/designer mentors, teen apprentices learn new skills, make art and provide creative design services for clients. No artistic experience is necessary, just passion for being creative and learning on the job.
Commitment/Pay: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. during the school year; Monday – Friday from 12:00 noon – 5:30 p.m. during the summer. In person at 100 West 2nd Street, Boston, MA 02127 (3-minute walk from Broadway stop on Red Line).
After a 36-hour unpaid apprenticeship period, teens are paid $15/hour plus commissions to do projects. Here are some examples of things our teens have created.
