Boston Planning department Internship

Digital Ready Summer studios

Description: Digital Ready students will become future architects, engineers, computer scientists, roboticists, virtual reality designers, game creators, AI architects, construction technologist, biotech technicians and more! We are looking for students that are passionate about design + technology and want to lead change here in Boston and the world.
Commitment/Pay: July 8th to August 16th, Monday -Thursday from 9:00 am to 4:15 pm, in person, paid $15-20 per hour depending on age (See pay chart below)

Boston Raising Powerful Musicians
Requirements: Girls and gender-expansive youth (ages 8 to 17) with experience in their instrument
Description: BRPM’s Youth Summer Sessions are wicked-awesome, week-long programs for girls and gender-expansive youth ages 8 to 17. Youth receive instrument instruction (guitar, bass, drums, vocals, or keyboards), form a band, write an original song, and perform at a sold-out, Boston-area music venue. Artists for humanity
Deadline: Waitlist only
Requirements: Grades 9-11, ages 14-17. Requires a Social Security Number
Description: Artists For Humanity (AFH) employs Boston teens to work with Painting, 3D Design, Graphic Design, Creative Technology, Video Production, Photography, or Print Making. In collaboration with artist/designer mentors, teen apprentices learn new skills, make art and provide creative design services for clients. No artistic experience is necessary, just passion for being creative and learning on the job.
Commitment/Pay: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. during the school year; Monday – Friday from 12:00 noon – 5:30 p.m. during the summer. In person at 100 West 2nd Street, Boston, MA 02127 (3-minute walk from Broadway stop on Red Line).
After a 36-hour unpaid apprenticeship period, teens are paid $15/hour plus commissions to do projects. Here are some examples of things our teens have created.
