Description: This one-week summer program offers students an opportunity to immerse themselves in the field of biomedical lab research. Participants will learn directly from research scientists at Boston University School of Medicine, conduct biomedical experiments, explore a wide range of research topics, and gain exposure to college and future career pathways. Commitment/Pay: ONE WEEK, July 27–31 at Boston University Medical Campus, with sessions running from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day, except Friday, which will end at 3:00 PM. Students will receive lunch each day, a paid stipend, and a formal certificate of completion.

Description: BIDMC volunteers are essential members of our community. We are grateful for the contributions they make to BIDMC's mission, providing extraordinary care where the patient comes first. We presently have a diverse, trained group of more than 250 individuals who selflessly commit thousands of hours each year to support BIDMC staff, patients and families. Please note that we are currently very limited in volunteer opportunities and applying does not guarantee a position.
Commitment/Pay: 4 hours once per week for 6-12 months. Since this is a volunteer position, you will NOT get paid.

Description: Summer internship opportunities at leading hospitals in Boston offer high school students a hands-on introduction to healthcare careers. Open to students age 16 and older in grades 10–12, these paid internships provide meaningful experience in real hospital settings, including patient support services, administrative departments, and clinical observation opportunities (as permitted).
Interns earn $16–$18 per hour while developing valuable professional skills such as teamwork, communication, and responsibility. Participants also gain exposure to a variety of healthcare roles, helping them explore future career paths in medicine, nursing, public health, and hospital operations. This is an excellent opportunity for motivated students to learn, grow, and make a positive impact in their community over the summer.
Commitment/Pay: Full time Monday through Friday for 8 weeks in the summer.
