During 2024-25 Rotary year we have supported 39 local, national and international charities and causes.
The recent charties to receive funds included the Rotary Foundation, End Polio Now, Crisis, Water Survival Boxes, MERU (funds for servicing of Bugzi for re-use), Princess Alice hospice, Centre for MS, Homestart, Diabetes UK, Macular Society, Sutton Women’s Centre, RNIB and Alzeimer’s Society. The donations made in June totalled £5,000.
It is amazing what we can accomplish when hearts and minds work together. Rotary Clubs consist of members from different countries, cultures, and occupations and these leaders of society are taking action to enhance health, empower youth, promote peace, and advance their community, all round the world.
Cheam and Sutton Rotary are able to do many things in the community, supporting fairs, running Santa's Sleigh aka Xmas Float and helping the environment. Every year we raise in excess of £30,000 for projects and causes. In 2024-25 65% was used locally, 12% to national charities, mostly through personal connections, 12% to dInternational disaster relief through Rotary support organisations and 12% to Rotary's own charity The Rotary Foundation including End Polio (where the money is tripled by the Gates Foundation).
Our Rotary vision is ""Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves."

Our Social Media channels are the place to go for frequent updates on what we do during the year. In the run up the Xmas our Santa's Sleigh pages gives daily or more updates of what we are doing and where.
