MORSBAGS

Morsbags is a social project where fabric bags made from donated fabrics and they are distributed free of charge in the community to eliminate the use of single-use plastic bags which pollute our oceans.  If used properly a Morsbag will replace 100 plastic bags a year.

About 1 million plastic bags are being used every minute. Plastic bags can kill marine life and are especially dangerous because they resemble jellyfishes. The aim of Morsbags is to keep material out of landfill and plastic out of the environment. Please click on the link to see the devastation plastic causes in our world: https://youtu.be/pEKohTXF4Xw

Cheam and Sutton Rotary concentrating on finding a sustainable environmental project to help eliminate the use of single-use plastic bags, joined forces with a local Hub for Morsbags, Stitches in Cheam. In spite of the pandemic, this partnership is working well in building up a large stock of Morsbags and distributing to shoppers free-of-charge.
