ENGLISH TRANSLATION

Beyond the wall, past the rose bushes, at the old garden house,

they say a glittering festival is held there every single day

Not once have we ever been invited there,

so on nights when no one is around, we slip inside again,

and light the candles

The busker, the clown, the dancer, they are all my friends 

In a street no duke or count would ever know

such joy exists
