Musical Starting points
50s
for my 50s I used an upbeat groove for the piano and the drums. I also used a walking baseline on a club American upright to help make it sound 50s. I also asked someone in my class to hep with writing a guitar part to add more interesting parts to the song. With the drums I used brushes to help also give it a 50s feel.
60s
For this I used the bass and piano together, they worked together well to make the beat slighty funky but still pop. the drums make it more steady and addes some fills to make it sound more interesting.
70s
for this i started with the piano and then added the bass and drums in. This one is slightly slower and overall my lead favourite out of all my starting points.
80s
In this song i use a lot of synths as synths were very popular during this time. I uses a shuffle beat to make it more disco pop and a bas line to try and make it moe upbeat.
90s
For this I tried to take influence from Wu-Tang and try and make it sound similar. to do this I made it so the Hi Hat counted in the rest of the song and used. solid straight forward hiphop style drum groove. and used a bass to help compliment this.

I make the intro longer and did it so each instrument gradually layered on to each other. In the outro I made it so each instrument faded out. I used a different bass line towards the end to make it sound different and to avoid it beoming boring.
