Teacher feedback
17/09/24: Great communication between all of your cross the band. Equal contributions from all members. Charlotte asking for guidance - all helpful in responding. "I Bet You Look Good" going well; good discussions on keeping it simple (50s style) or how to vary it to keep interest. Suggestions: sing final verse at higher register. C - try bringing in ride only after the breakdown, gradually add layers of kit back in. Stupid Cupid well learnt so far; guitar solo and bridge still to tidy but nearly there. Good energy in the song.

teacher feedback- I Got a Woman - this had a confident start and continued in the same way. All band members in control, with plenty of subtle variety in playing techniques (Charlotte across the whole kit - maybe strike the snare more positively in choruses), piano and guitars blending well. Nice soloing from you Vinny, with just enough edge on the tone to cut through. George rock solid on the chord accomp. Madi - confident, stylish vocal delivery engaged the audience immediately. Well rehearsed and performed. I Bet You Look Good - a really successful creative cover that flowed along very naturally; well judged decisions. Madi, again, well sung and confidently delivered - maybe play with vocal tone to add a little more smokiness to your voice (diva-style) for that Peggy Lee vibe. Stupid Cupid - you captured the playful style of this and, again it was well rehearsed, with all of you balanced and in time. Great 'comping' on the keys, Faith, with glissandos adding to the 'Little Richard' '50s sound (though not worth blistering your fingers over - take care!) Madi, lots of character in your vocal delivery, capturing the "cutsey" style with upper register head voice. Overall, you were well prepared and made good use of your rehearsal time - this showed very clearly in your performances today - well done.
personal evaluation
Overall our band clicked really well considering most of us haven't known each other for long. We communicated both in college and out of college so we always had a plan of what to do for each rehearsal and we all learnt the bulk of our parts in our own time. across the three songs there is a range of genres and techniques. We didn't encounter any obvious problems that I was aware of. To improve as a band I think that we should push more boundaries with the songs we choose and choose more difficult songs to play.
