objective: try and finish off song four (adding drums and finishing off structure)
structure:
spend 5-10 minutes tuning and waiting for people to arrive and putting bags and making sure wires are out the way and organised,
10-15 minute discussion about the song and what we all think we need to improve on,
run through what we have got so far for a refresh of the feel and the song its self,
work on adding drums and where they need to come in,
talk about where fills and breakdowns will happen (will most likely put the hemiola pattern in there)
once that's sorted do some fine tuning on the guitar and try and fit the lyrics into the song
issues-
have just come back from half term so may need to spend time listening to past recordings,
people most likely wont turn up on time which means we will spend extra time catching people up with what we did before they arrive.
sensitivity to individual needs-
attendance with Madi and Phoenix, most likely wont be on time or in at all.
usually will spend most of rehearsal working on timing and rhythm with phoenix,
not all of us get along but we always try to be patient with each other,
Billy always picks up things quick and is great for ideas not much that needs any concern.
risk assessment
Emergency Procedures
Fire safety: Clearly marked exits, regular fire drills, and fire extinguishers in their proper locations.
First Aid: A fully stocked first aid kit on site, and at least one first aid trained person present
Emergency Contacts: Display emergency contact numbers somewhere accessible.
Evacuation Plan: Create and distribute a well-defined evacuation policy in case of emergencies.
Review and Monitoring
Regular checks to maintain compliance.
Report and address all incidents or near misses.
Review the risk assessment as necessary.
Take feedback from staff and musicians to improve measures for safety.
Document previous incidents to identify repeat risks and minimize them effectively.
Responsibilities
The control measures should be implemented and monitored by the rehearsal space manager.
Hazards should be reported by musicians and staff, and the safety protocols should be followed.
A designated safety officer must be in charge of risk management practices and compliance.
Venue owners must guarantee structural safety as well as maintenance of the premises.
By adopting this risk assessment, the rehearsal space can become a safer place for everyone to use.
Rehearsal video
I didn't do my rehearsal video due to illness in my band and running out of time. Because of this I am going to write about what i was planning to do, my aims and goals for the session, and how I would of come over certain things.
plan
5/10 minutes to wait for people to arrive and to set up.
I ended up changing what i wanted to do in this rehearsal as we had already completed what i wanted to do originally. I changed my plan to writing lyrics for song 4. Before this session I came up with some lyric ideas and some sentences before the lesson to give us a head start with our rehearsal. My main aim/goal was to get at least 2 verses done and a chorus as well as trying to fit it with the melody of the song. I chose this as it would be an effective use of our time and it was the most important thing of the list of stuff we needed to do.
I would of started the session by assessing the room for any risks that Ive listed off in my risk assessment. throughout rehearsal we would of needed to allow time for people to come in late to rehearsal and time to fill them in and explain what we are doing.
