Challenge by: Kaito Lune
Unlike some of the other challenges, I'm going to do something that forces you to look at your writing style.
Note: Some prompts are sourced from other places or people. All prompts that I have not created myself will be sourced.
All of the fulfilled prompts must be oneshots. They can be connected over a timeline or can occur in the same universe if you so choose, but all must be independent.
- Write a 5 plus 1 story set-up. (A character normally does five things, but they don't do it once). [From prompts-and-pointers.tumblr.com]
- Write a scene between two or more characters without dialogue. All must interact. They may speak, but you cannot write their dialogue.
- Write an entire story in only dialogue. It cannot be script. Focus on the character voices.
- Write a story that turns into a horror story in the last line. [From prompts-and-pointers.tumblr.com]
- Rewrite a scene from the antagonist's POV. Make the reader want to root for the antagonist.
- A character is interacting with an environment that they have never been to. Have the new place be a character.
- Write a scene where two characters are fighting about something, sticking to one character's POV. Rewrite the same scene from another character's POV.
- Write a one-shot where you alternate every other sentence between simple sentences and complex sentences. No compounds or fragments!
- Create a shuffled playlist of 12 songs. Write to the mood of that song for only as long as it plays. As soon as a new song pops up, the mood of the story should change to match the song.
- Write a story with only simple sentences and fragments.
- 50 one sentence stories. No pairings. [suggested by Angel of Friendship]
