The Calender
- m&ms: use a random character generator three times. Use all of these characters in your piece.
- calaverita: (a small skull filled with sugar or chocolate) review a collection or multichap from another participant (at least 3 reviews)
- sour gummy worms: create a piece in your comfortable media of choice that's outside your comfort zone.
- kit kat: create a piece that is a pair to another participant's piece (you can gift the piece to each other too, if it works like that :D)
- spider webs: choose a beginning and an end from canon. Start from the beginning, change what happens in the middle, but come back to the canon ending.
- summoning ritual: show a favorite character doing something the opposite of themselves, and make it believable.Then review a participant's piece about their favorite character.
- taffy: show a change in plans.
- popping candy: find a random generator and pick ten prompts. Write a fic/draw a sketch/video under 1 page/2 min using every prompt (ie. ten prompts in the one single piece)
- donuts: show an event coming full circle.
- toffee apples: show a relationship that ends in tragedy (eg. a tragic romance, friendship etc.)
- candles: rework an old piece and review a veteran member of FFN.
- witches: show a desperate decision having unexpected consequences.
- rattlesnake eggs: gift a piece with a twist you think will surprise the recipient (and don't be afraid to make them squeal, within reason. After all, it is a gift)
- caramel corn: write a drabble novel/comic strip
- plastic skeleton: review a fic from another participant's favourites list.
- kinder egg: show a surprise encounter and review someone you've never reviewed before.
- jack-o-lantern: reveal a hidden identity (be that a "true self" in the sense of something metaphorical, or a friend who's a foe, or a human that turns out to be a vampire or anything like that.
- pumpkin cupcakes: create a collection with a mix of sweetness and bitterness (ie. fluff and the bloodless sort of angst)
- apple cider: show a barista!AU
- hay rides: show an unintended relationship
- glow sticks: recommend a delightfully horrific something
- freddos/chocolate frogs: show a crossover with a halloween theme
- toilet paper: show a fic that is harmless fun
- chocolate chip cookies: review a fic from the DFC archives (preferably from someone you're not reviewing for any of the other tasks in this challenge)
- fog machine: pick a multichap from an anonymous participant. Leave anonymous reviews until the reviewed makes a guess on the thread. Then pop into your account and confirm or surprise them! And finish up the multichap while you're at it.
- licorice: do a piece that's an alternate universe/continuation for someone else's piece. (Make sure you get permission first!)
- eclipse: show something/someone precious to a character being taken away and review a fic from the DFC archives.
- obon: show a character death.
- fake insects (a spider is a remi's favourite): write a fic between 4 and 6k with at least three red herrings (or a comic >4 pages)
- lollipops: show a slowly building relationship of any kind (friendship, romantic, familial, etc)
- sparklers (fake fireworks): surprise someone on the forum with a non-written gift (reviews - 3 min., cover art, etc.). Save the reviews as a last resort since that's easier than some of the others.
BONUS 1: haunted house: find a partner and let them run you a slot with at least five restrictions (word count, rating, characters, etc). You run them a slot. Write the fic that comes to mind.
BONUS 2: candy pile: pick a challenge you've been reluctant to do.
BONUS 3: the bonfire: bring out your favourite drabble and review the other participants' selections.

- 15 Days: Do any fifteen of the above prompts for the first half of the month!
- 31 Days: Do for the main Calendar!
- Holiday Month: Do the Calendar and the bonus!
