The Calendar
- 1. Review a fic from this advent
- 2. Show a single scene.
- 3. Have two characters switch partners (either as an AU or they started off with their original partners)
- 4. Expand on a character who doesn't get much focus in canon.
- 5. Review a fic from the CZ archives
- 6. Show your character outside their normal setting/canon
- 7. Review a crossover
- 8. Someone gives you a random song. Use it for the dicing up songs challenge.
- 9. Show a random pairing (ask here for your random pairing, and keep in mind crossovers are also possible!)
- 10. Write a fic where a poem guides the plot. (Whether literally or figuratively, it's up to you.)
- 11. Review a fic recommended by someone else (you can ask for recommendations here, look at others' favourite lists or go to the recs listed on some of our older advents)
- 12. Someone gets a pet.
- 13. Number six seasons, or six fandoms (or six genres, if you're an OG writer/artist). Roll the dice, and whichever one you land on, that's what you're doing.
- 14. Review a fic from start to finish for a challenge.
- 15. Make a nonhuman character-only adventure (though humans can be minor characters if you choose)
- 16. Take a character you don't like and show them in a way that would make them one you do.
- 17. Do a piece related to another piece in this advent (ie. in the same world/series; your own or somebody else's)
- 18. Rework a canon moment starting from a single plot point in the episode.
- 19. Show someone else's OTP.
- 20. Review a fic from someone you've never reviewed before/not very often.
- 21. Review a random challenge entry (ask here for your random selection!)
- 22. Take two characters who don't interact and create a scenario where they do.
- 23. Show-off the underloved movie fandoms
- 24. Rework an old piece and review someone you've reviewed before.
- 25. Gift a non-forum member
Bonuses
- Christmas day special: Give someone a Christmas present! (You can gift someone you're already doing a gift-basket fic for, if you like).
- Boxing Day special: adopt a lonely summary! We have adoptables here if you're looking for some :D
- New Year's Eve special: start a brand new project. Try to update it every week for at least a month.
Levels
- 12 days: any twelve of the main days
- 25 days: all main days, no bonuses
- Christmas star: any twelve of the main days, plus at least one bonus
- Holiday month: everything, including all three bonuses
