Hello and welcome! I know this is way, way in advance, but it took some time to think up and i know if I don't do it now, I will be like: urgh, and totally forget.

This is a (I am not sure if it is the ONLY holiday event on the DFC but I know it's one of them) holiday event for December, titled (obviously) the Advent Calendar Challenge!

*looks for confetti, sees no confetti, continues*

For those who may not know what an Advent Calendar is, it's this usually wooden box for kids to go through on the days leading up to Christmas. Each day before, they open up a door on the box and get whatever prize is inside, usually candy or a small toy. Then on Christmas Day, it's you know, all of the gift-giving and fun, and I believe there's a bigger door to open on the box. And that is basically what's going to be happening here. You will be given various types of prompts (which can be anything, you never know what kind of crazy stuff I might pull. I am an Aiko after all.) and you will seek to fill those prompts to the best of your uncanny abilities.

The Calendar

1. We'll start simple: Write something under 1k or draw a post-it note sketch
2. Feature a character you don't write/draw much of.
3. Create a piece centering around your OTP (Romance optional)
4. Review someone's fic.
5. Start a piece you have yet to post.
6. Update a neglected project.
7. Review someone's multichapter (once is fine! Unless you want to continue)
8. Create an AU.
9. Create a crossover.
10. Join a challenge and create a fill
11. Create a piece about your favorite character doing something nice for another.
12. Review a random user! (Link to the fic/review)
13. Create a piece about a friendship.
14. Create a piece about about someone comforting another person.
15. Create a piece about about a party.
16. Review a fic!
17. Create a piece about about an OC!
18. Review a fic a forum user has written!
19. Create a piece about about a confession of somesort.
20. freebie!
21. Recommend someone's fic!
22. Review a fic with less than ten reviews!
23. create a type of piece you wouldn't normally (eg. writers, try your hand at drawing, artists, try podcasting etc.)
24. Write a fic between 3-5k.
25. Create a gift-fic for someone AND review them. (NOTE: Not the same as the one for the gift exchange)
