For those of you who aren't familiar with bootcamps, they're (usually prompts) challenges where there are 50 prompts and an umbrella term (something that restrists/categorises possible entries) and you need to write 50 fics that fall under that umbrella - one per prompt (with some exceptions, which will be mentioned on the individual pages. Usually the prompts will be words. Sometimes they'll be other things, in which case that in itself is the umbrella (eg. quotes boot camp).
Also, prompts, on the whole, are meant to inspire! It can be as obscure a relationship as you like!
Definitions
- set = means we've given you genres, word counts, chapter counts etc. and you stick to that, but no additional prompts to use.
- diversity = list of prompts, but a category outlined by the title. Each uses a separate prompt and separate category as outlined for the title (eg. for genre, each fic would have a different genre and using a different prompt as well). For things that don't allow a decent amount of variation, you may repeat something in a category once (so still have at least 25 different things), but prompts as always are one each.
- one (x) = list of prompts and category outlined by title. Each uses a separate prompt but some member of category. Eg. if one genre boot camp, same genre for all 50 prompts.
- micro/flash/novella/novel - length requirements are in the relevant pages. All fics must be within that word count as well as inspired by the prompt
- inspiration = just a list of 50 prompts for inspiration. They might've come from the same or a similar source, but it's no extra restriction on your own writing
