Modified Gravity Theories

This research line aims to fix some basic physical implications of extended formulations of the gravitational dynamics, like the F(R) and Horndeski gravity, as well as affine paradigms, including Torsion and Non-Metricity.

The cosmological implementation of these extended theories is also extensively considered, both with respect to the emergence of a Big-Bounce, as well as in view of the Universe classicalization far enough from the Planckian era.

Questions concerning the inflationary and dark energy paradigms, as manifestations of modified gravity, are also investigation themes.

Finally, some basic aspects of the gravitational field in matter, especially the propagation of gravitational waves, are investigated in some details.
