Extra-dimensional Physics

This research line considers higher-dimensional formulations of General Relativity, in order to construct geometrical Unification Theories.

The main effort is devoted in re-interpreting five-dimensional and Extra-dimensional Kaluza-Klein Theories, to ensure an increased predictivity of their phenomenology.

A central investigation theme is the geometrization of the gauge interaction in the Electroweak Model, as well as the solution of the Planckian mass problem in the Kaluza-Klein Towers.

Finally, the implications of including cut-off effects in the Kaluza-Klein formulation are considered to better elucidate the compactification physics of the extra dimensions.
