Accretion Disks

This research line is mainly devoted to understand the role played by the angular momentum transport in stellar accretion disks, by the emergence of magnetic microstructures within a plasma configuration.

The analysis of alternative scenarios to the standard Shakura model of accretion is intensively pursued and aims to remove the adoption of anomalous values of the resistivity when strongly accreting objects, like X-binary systems, are taken into account.
