MASTER THESIS PROPOSALS:

  • Cosmological study of the scalar mode of a f(R) modified gravity in the Jordan frame: analysis of the Universe classicalization mechanism and of the inflation paradigm in a Bianchi Universe when the non-Einsteinian scalar mode is adopted as a physical relational clock.

  • Study of the thermodynamical properties of bouncing cosmology: analysis of the thermal bath characterizing the early Universe in the framework of polymer quantum mechanics and also implementing cyclical dynamics.

  • Study of the X-point turbulence in a Tokamak configuration: analysis of the non-linear drift response in reduced models and of its connection with turbulence in ordinary fluids.

  • Study of the cosmological perturbations to an isotropic Universe in the f(R) modified gravity in the Jordan frame: description of the scalar perturbations modes in a synchronous gauge, throughout the radiation and matter dominated phases.

  • Study of the angular momentum transport in stellar accretion disks: characterization of the role played by magnetic microstructures in setting the steady regime of accretion in axially symmetric scenarios

  • Study of the equilibrium configurations in Tokamak devices: investigation of the role played by velocity fields, with particular reference to toroidal and poloidal velocities, in determining the nature of stationary Tokamak profiles.
