On Friday May 22nd, 2020 the Volusia County Fire Rescue and Florida Forest Service responded to the area of 990 N Prevatt Ave for the report of a Brush Fire

Upon the arrival of Fire Marshall 14 a approx.1 acre non contained slow moving brush fire was found producing large amounts of smoke. Prevatt Command was established and later handed over to Mitigation 10. FFS Dozer 10-51 began a fire line around the fire approx. 50-60 yards away from the road while VCFR Fire walkers stood by incase they were needed. Approx 1 ½ hours into the scene VCFR Mitigation 10 and Brush 45 were diverted emergency to a Brush Fire w/ exposures to a house. After 2 hours onscene around 15:21 FFS called the scene %100 contained and began to mop up. The Fire was later referred to as the #prevattbrushfire
