On May 22nd, 2020 the Volusia County Fire Rescue, Deltona Fire Rescue and Florida Forest Service responded to the area of 360 Black Lake Road at the W.T. Ranch in Osteen for the report of a Brush Fire

Upon the Arrival of VCFR Tender Engine 36 a 1 acre brush fire with exposures to a nearby house was found. Units began a fire attack and asked for FFS. Upon the arrival of Fire Marshall 14 command was established. VCFR Mitigation 10 was assigned Alpha Command and VCFR Battalion 30 was assigned Bravo Command. Units are still fighting the fire. The fire is referred to as the #acornlakefire
