"JOYFUL ENGLISH" COURSE - SOVERATO (ITALY)
Linguistic updating course for "Joyful English" teachers, in Soverato (Italy). It is a linguistic updating course for teachers who work using the English language, based on various interaction activities between attendees from all over Europe. Another important aspect is the "communicative skills" that can be developed by learning a language and broadening the perspective towards a larger and more complex world, characterized today by multiculturalism and by the continuous exchange and influence of other cultures. The course is structured in various sessions and animated with formal and non-formal education and outdoor education activities. The core content of the course is based on knowledge of the English language and is divided into grammar (lexicon, phonetics and phonology, and syntax), reading, writing, listening, speaking, and communication skills.

Curso de actualización lingüística del profesorado "Joyful English", en Soverato (Italia). Es un curso de actualización lingüística del profesorado que trabaja usando la lengua inglesa, basado en diversas actividades de interacción entre asistentes de todas las partes de Europa. Otro aspecto importante son las "habilidades comunicativas" que se pueden desarrollar aprendiendo un idioma y ampliando la perspectiva hacia un mundo más grande y complejo, caracterizado hoy por la multiculturalidad y por el continuo intercambio e influencia de otras culturas. El curso está estructurado en diversas sesiones y animado con educación formal y no formal y actividades de educación al aire libre. El contenido central del curso se basa en el conocimiento de la lengua inglesa y está dividido en gramática (léxico, fonética y fonología y sintaxis), lectura, escritura, audición, oralidad y habilidades comunicativas.

Llegamos a Villa Gabriela en esta camioneta. Pietro nos estaba esperando y nos llevó a la estación de tren donde llegaron dos profesores de Croacia de un viaje retrasado.
Cuando llegamos a Villa Gabriela, todos estaban descansando. Eran las 11:30 de la noche.
We arrived to Villa Gabriela in this van. Pietro was waiting for us and carried us to the train station where two teachers from Croacia arrived from a delayed trip.
When we arrived to Villa Gabriela, everybody was having a rest. It was 11:30 pm.

Desayunamos en un comedor confortable con un profesor de Lituania.
09:30 am:
Los organizadores nos reunimos con todos los participantes para conocernos y presentarnos. También nos explican las actividades que haríamos durante la semana.
De 11 a 12:30 horas:
Jugamos a un juego: “Misión imposible en Soverato” Era una actividad comunicativa que consistía en encontrar la respuesta a unas preguntas sobre el origen de Soverato. En grupos mixtos tuvimos que preguntarles a gente de Soverato que hablara inglés.
Descubrimos información interesante de la historia de Soverato.

Cenamos todos juntos en un restaurante típico italiano cerca de Villa Gabriela. Fue una oportunidad fantástica para mejorar nuestras habilidades de comunicación.

We had breakfast in a confortable dinningroom with a teacher from Lituania.
9:30 am:
Organisers meet all the participants in order to know and introduce ourselves. They also explain us the activities we would do during the week.
From 11 am to 12: 30 pm:
We played a game: “Mission imposible in Soverato” It was a communicative activity which consisted on finding out the answer to some questions about the origin of Soverato. In mixed groups we had to ask them to people from Soverato who spoke English.
We found out some interesting information from Soverato’s history.

We had dinner all together in an italian typical restaurant near Villa Gabriela. It was a fantastic opportunity to improve our communication skills.

Hemos creado esta batería de actividades a partir de las dinámicas aprendidas en el curso de actualización lingüística. Éstas se pondrán en práctica en las clases en las que se utilice el inglés como lengua vehicular, ya sea en las clases de inglés propiamente dichas, o en las áreas bilingües.
We have created this battery of activities based on the dynamics learned in the language update course. These will be put into practice in the classes in which English is used as the vehicular language, either in the English classes themselves, or in the bilingual areas.
