Trumpet

The trumpet is a brass instrument. To play the trumpet, you buzz your lips at high speeds into a small mouthpiece.

How to make a sound:

1. say "m & m" and keep your lips together

2. buzz the center of your lips with fast air (think 40 mph)

3. now buzz with faster air (I'm talking 100 mph!)

4. alternate between slow and fast air

tips:

- use your stomach muscles to achieve fast air

* practice doing this by hissing really hard without the mouthpiece

- when holding the trumpet, right pinky should go ON TOP of the ring
