Future Cedar Park Parents,
I am looking forward to having a new group of 6th grade musicians next year! Below is some information about the Band program.

* No prior knowledge of instruments or music is required to join band.
* The first week of school, 6th graders will try different instruments and choose the one they wish to play: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, or trombone.
* Families rent or buy an instrument at a music store. School instruments are available for families that find it financially difficult to get an instrument.
* If your soon-to-be 6th grader is anxious to get started, they can get a jump start by taking private lessons on their instrument over the summer. I strongly encourage taking advantage of such one-on-one attention!
