What instrument should I play in Band?

When deciding what instrument to play in Band, think about the following questions:

1. When blowing on the mouthpiece, which instruments are naturally easy for me to get a sound?

2. Which instrument will I be excited to practice at home?

3. Which instruments does the band need more of to get a good sound?

* We need about equal numbers of the 4 main instruments in the band to get a "balanced" sound.

* The 4 main instruments are: flute, clarinet, trumpet, and trombone.
