Alto Saxophone

* This is a woodwind instrument like the flute and clarinet.

* The band doesn't need as many saxes as flutes and clarinets though because they can play so loudly.

* It is one of the more expensive instruments to buy or rent.

* If you have your heart set on playing saxophone, you will play the alto.

- In 7th and 8th grade we may switch you to one of the larger saxes (tenor or bari).
