We provide your school with a digital booklet to share with families via school communications (like e-mail, the school website, social media platforms, and more). The booklet will provide information about your school's upcoming portrait session, available sitting options, descriptions of poses we take, and helpful tips to prepare for your session.
All appointments are scheduled via our PickATime online appointment system. Your school's digital booklet will have the specific link to click and visit.
Yes. This allows us to know in advance that your senior is coming to see us the day you are attending pictures. We cannot guarantee that we can accept same day walk-ins.
Appointments are accepted up until 4:00pm EST the day before a senior portrait session. This is so we can prepare our information prior to the session.
Make sure that you are visiting the correct PickATime website link that is displayed on your booklet.
If it says "all slots filled" then that means all appointments for that day have been filled.
If it says "no available times" then the event has not yet been set up. This may also happen because you are not using the correct appointment link.
When you schedule your appointment on PickATime there will be multiple options to select from based on the type and number of poses you wish to take. You will be able to pay for your sitting as you schedule your appointment. Cash/Check are NOT accepted the day of.
In some cases, you are able to go on your PickATime account to either re-schedule or cancel your appointment. If you cannot do this then contact our customer service. If you paid for a sitting then we can either offer a refund or apply it to your next scheduled appointment.
Yes. At minimum, we photograph seniors in a tuxedo or drape outfit.
We provide the tuxedo jackets, tuxedo shirts, bowties and drape outfits for seniors to wear. We ask that seniors bring the following to wear for the yearbook pose:
Ladies - bring a camisole or tanktop (no racerbacks) to wear under your drape.
Gentlemen - bring a white t-shirt to wear under your tuxedo shirt.
Optional - You may also wear a plain black top in lieu of the tuxedo or drape outfit.
Please note - Tuxedo / drape outfits WILL BE SHARED with other students. A Candid Color staff member may need to assist you within close proximity.
Here are some tips to help you prepare for your portrait session. Your selected sitting option will help you plan extra items to bring to your appointment. A little planning goes a long way to provide lifetime memories...
Bring your favorite outfits. This includes casual clothes, formal attire, dresses, jerseys, uniforms, etc.. Solid colors photograph the best. Make sure they are wrinkle-free! Choose accessories that match your outfits. Remember, your outfits should be something you are comfortable wearing on a regular basis.
Bring props and accessories such as clothing accessories, art supplies, musical instruments, sports equipment (soccer balls, baseball bats, field hockey sticks, lacrosse sticks) and more...
Bring your friends and family to be a part of your portraits and to help with outfits and make-up.
Do your hair and makeup at home but bring cosmetics and a brush or comb to your portrait session for any touch-ups.
Get a good night’s rest before your appointment day so you are refreshed.
Haircuts - Allow one week to grow before your appointment.
Avoid excessive sun exposure. This may darken your skin unnaturally, create tan lines, and make you appear shiny.
You can bring outfit changes and personal props like sports equipment, musical instruments, and other items that display your hobbies and style.
Note: This applies only for seniors that have selected and paid for a sitting option containing casual poses. Please read your sitting option descriptions to see how many poses it contains.
We ask that you refrain from bringing the following on school property:
Pets are not allowed inside the picture location. If you have selected a sitting option with an outdoor environmental pose then pets are allowed to be photographed.
Weapons (such as knives, swords, guns).
If there are any questions then you will need to confirm with your school if any items are prohibited. The school will be the best resource to get confirmation.
You will receive a selection of Kodak professional 4x5 inscripted proofs showing the best poses from your portrait session. You will also receive additional ordering information if you choose to place an order by mail. The proofs are yours to keep regardless of ordering. Your proofs will be mailed to the address provided at your appointment. Verify at the time of your appointment that we have your most up-to-date home address to prevent delays.
You will receive information via e-mail on how to view and order your portraits online. Your online gallery will display all portraits taken during your appointment. Please provide your current email address with our staff at your appointment time.
Your proofs will arrive un-retouched and inscripted with information for us to identify your pictures. All portrait orders include complimentary basic retouching for facial blemishes, shine, and color balancing.
You can select your tuxedo / drape pose for the yearbook either online or by mail at no charge. Select your pose as soon as possible to facilitate your school’s yearbook deadline. Restrictions apply.
If you’re not 100% satisfied with your proofs then you may be eligible for a retake. Seniors will need to schedule a new appointment in order to return to our photographers on make-up day to get their photos retaken. You will need to return the physical proofs to our photographers in exchange for a new set. Bring only the proofs of the pose(s) you are coming to retake.
