To provide students with opportunities to communicate with patients and gain an understanding of the patient experience of health and its social determinants over the course of their lives.
• 12 alternate Thursdays throughout the academic year.

• Teaching will take place in person.

• Interviewing clinicians and other healthcare professionals
• Interviewing patients
• Self-directed learning
• Debrief on patient encounters and provide feedback to all students
Students will be assessed on two short pieces of reflective writing, one considering how becoming a medical student may have changed how they, or others, perceive their identity (submitted in December) and a second on their professional development (submitted in March).
They will also complete and present a health promotion poster and be given feedback on their professionalism.
