This course examines the leadership, management, and organizational skills required to oversee instructional design and technology initiatives within educational and corporate settings. Emphasis is placed on managing design projects, supervising instructional design teams, allocating resources, and ensuring alignment between instructional strategies and institutional goals. Students explore models of project management, quality assurance, evaluation, and continuous improvement while developing competencies in communication, collaboration, and ethical decision-making. Through applied projects, learners demonstrate the ability to manage the instructional design function effectively to enhance learning outcomes and organizational performance.

This group project, housed in a Google Site, conducted a needs assessment to create a more effective and efficient learning environment that enhances students’ instructional experiences and meets standardized requirements. The survey focused on five key areas: Teachers’ Background Information, Access to Technology, Digital Literacy and Professional Development, Technology Use in Teaching and Learning, and Support and Infrastructure. Insights from these areas guided strategies to strengthen technology integration and improve teaching and learning outcomes.
This project developed a comprehensive plan for transitioning Georgia School Ningbo from JupiterEd to the ManageBac learning management system. The plan described each stage of implementation, including planning, needs assessment, data migration, integration, and training, with an emphasis on collaboration, data security, and sustainability.
