Camino por los pasillos topándome con uno que otro conocido dando un saludo con la mano, reviso lleve mi tarea, estoy en mi tercer año de universidad, tengo diecinueve años pero tengo dos año avanzadss ya que a diferencia de la mayoría me refugiaba en libros tareas y eso, tenía la necesidad de estar fuera de la realidad, siempre la mejor de mi clase, grupo, nivel y más.

I'm nineteen, but I'm two years ahead because, unlike most people, I sheltered myself in books and homework. I needed to escape reality. I feel like I bump into someone who catches me before I fall.

“Miss Mayken, we’ve arrived,” says the driver. I nod.
“Thank you for the ride.” I press my hand against the scanner; it flashes green, recognizing my ID, and the doors slide open.
“Excuse me.” he says before leaving as I step into my home.
I can already hear whispers the moment I cross the threshold. I walk toward the living room, drop my bag by the door, and stop dead in my tracks — Nil is standing against the wall, silent and tense, while my other brothers are laughing and cheering. Then, I feel a strong impact that welcomes me with force.
“Fadyx,” he murmurs against my ear, giving me goosebumps along an electric shock.
