February 1, 2024 – Meeting Minutes


In attendance: Karen Bradford, Shelley Crouch, Sharon Durham Susie Mathews, Debi Sinclair, Doug Stoutin, Librarian Gretchen Murphy and Friends of Library, Tom Daughhetee

The meeting was called to order at 5:04 by President Sinclair

The Consent Agenda. Motion made to approve. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS: presented by Librarian Murphy

a) Friends of the Library update: President, Daughhetee, Reported the issue with signing up for membership online has been resolved. Current membership is 24 with 2 lifetime members. Planned activities include a hog raffle during March and 2 book sales per year. Renee Honselman will donate cinnamon rolls to sell during book sale.

b) Recent Donation: Librarian Murphy reported receiving $1,500 from the Casey Rotary and the gift of a new microwave.

c) After School Reading Programs: There are 14 participating in the Readers’ Choice. There is a time for crafts, reading and a STEM activity.

d) Donations for Dr Seuss’s Birthday: received donation of $300 for the March 2, 2024 Dr Seuss’s Birthday Celebration from Grain Belt Express

e) Per Capita Grant FY24 Expenditure Report and Book Banning Certification

Adjournment: motion made and carried. Meeting adjourned at 5:35 pm.
