This is a compilation of tools, processes and resources designed to support educators at the district and classroom level in designing and implementing curriculum-anchored formative and summative assessment tasks that align to the NGSS and California's system of assessments.

Each of the professional learning modules in the toolkit have been organized to guide educators as they work to design assessment experiences which shift the culture of assessment to one where students experience assessment as an important part of learning that is positive, builds confidence, and empowers them to demonstrate their understanding and thinking through sensemaking through carefully designed tasks and prompts.
