FRONT RANGE - DIVISION 16
The October meeting featured a slide show of the Kenosha and Delevan subdivision of the CNW by Mike Bottlemy. What made this fascinating was that Mike lived in this area and had a lot of anecdotes and historical photos of his and his relatives' experiences there.
In November, we had a slide show of the Nevada Northern in Ely, NV. FRD members Tom and Pat Gillen were afforded the opportunity to Engineer a consolidation steam engine on the line. They took photos of the day and made a great slide presentation.
The FRD had their annual “Gathering of the Elves” Christmas party where we ate all kinds of goodies and talked trains well into the night. Unfortunately, the weather was bitter cold which held down attendance.
Finally, long time FRD member Keevan Burnside delivered the January clinic on decaling. Keevan presented a foolproof method and that was followed by a lively discussion, tricks, tips and hints.
The Front Range Division meets in the main building (Delay Junction) of the Colorado Railroad Museum at 7:00 pm every third Monday of the month. Exceptions are in August when we have our picnic and December when we have our Christmas party.
