Differential Calculation

In calculating the differential after a round that counts towards your handicap, you need to take into account that the HIGHEST score on any hole will be a net double bogey.

e.g. you take 8 or more shots on a par 4 on which you are getting a stroke then your score on that hole for handicap purposes will be 7 i.e. nett double bogey.

The differential for a handicap round is then calculated taking into account your adjusted score for the round, the course rating and the slope index as :-

(Adjusted Gross Score - Course Rating) X (113/Course Slope Index)

The calculation for Braids White Tees becomes

(Gross Score adjusted for max net double - 68.2) X (113/115)

and for Braids Yellow Tees

(Gross Score adjusted for max net double - 66.6) X (113/113)
