Temporary and Local Rules

Local rules

As a result of moving to the VMS system with its facility for electronic score submission, the Council has decided not to re-order club scorecards for the time being but instead to rely on Edinburgh Leisure scorecards. Local rules as printed on these scorecards will be adopted for club competitions. However, please note the following:

Rule 2: Immovable Obstructions

In addition to those listed on the card (see image below), relief may be taken from tractor marks, horse hoof prints and animal droppings.

Rule 5: Unusual Ground Conditions

The areas referred to are between the bridle path and the boundary fence/wall to the left of the 10th and 11th holes, to the rear of the 5th and 11th greens and to the rear of the 6th and 12th teeing grounds.
