Open Volunteer Positions
2021-22 School Year
Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! As you know, Bubb School relies heavily on parent volunteers to help deliver a wonderfully well-rounded education to our kids. While this year may still be different to others due to Covid-19, we are still planning to create that special feeling of community that makes Bubb so special. So we need your help!
We need to fill these positions as soon as possible:
- Membership Coordinator (PTA Executive Board Position)
Promote membership and advertise the benefits of PTA membership to the Bubb School community. Keep a record of all members and work with the board on membership related matters. Attend Bubb PTA meetings (which will be virtual meetings this year). A great role to help connect people to the PTA at Bubb. Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested.
- Membership Coordinator (PTA Executive Board Position)
- Language Liaison (PTA Executive Board Position)
Lead and work with other parent volunteers to translate PTA notices into Spanish for weekly Bubb Bulletin and provide the same for other PTA communication, helping to ensure that PTA-sponsored communications are accessible to all families at Bubb. Help ensure that PTA events feel welcoming to all families, even if English is not their first language. Attend ELAC meetings or communicate with ELAC Representatives to stay aware of what school/district is doing to integrate families of English Language Learners.
- Financial Secretary (PTA Executive Board Position)
Help keep our PTA website up-to-date and looking good. This is perfect for someone who is willing to take on a multi-year role, has a good eye and is comfortable with Google sites.
- eCommerce Lead
Work with the Fundraising Teams to update and monitor the Bubb PTA Square online store. Help facilitate a process for fulfilling orders. This role can be done primarily from home.
- Fundraising Team
Help the Fundraising team with planned programs this year, that benefit all our Bubb Cubs. For more information, email Ming at email@example.com
- Garden Committee Members
This committee is perfect for the garden lover! Help a team of volunteers to maintain the school's gardens, and coordinate with the Living Classroom staff to keep our garden's classroom ready . Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested.
- Classroom Prep Committee Members
Provide support for teachers with at-home tasks such as folding and stapling kid books together, collating worksheet packets, prepping art materials, etc. We will contact you when needs arise throughout the school year and arrange for you to pick up materials and drop off completed items at the school office.
Below are the PTA jobs for which we need volunteers every year. If you are interested in one of the individual roles or committee positions below, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator (email@example.com) or sign up on Konstella.
