Open Volunteer Positions

2020-21 School Year

Welcome to the 2020-21 school year! As you know, Bubb School relies heavily on parent volunteers to help deliver a wonderfully well-rounded education to our kids. This year is different to others due to Covid-19, but we are still planning to create that special feeling of community that makes Bubb so special. So we need your help!

We need to fill these positions as soon as possible:

  • Membership Coordinator (PTA Executive Board Position)

Promote membership and advertise the benefits of PTA membership to the Bubb School community. Keep a record of all members and work with the board on membership related matters. Attend Bubb PTA meetings (which will be virtual meetings this year). A great role to help connect people to the PTA at Bubb. Email if you're interested.

  • Language Liaison (PTA Executive Board Position)

Lead and work with other parent volunteers to translate PTA notices into Spanish for weekly Bubb Bulletin and provide the same for other PTA communication, helping to ensure that PTA-sponsored communications are accessible to all families at Bubb. Help ensure that PTA events feel welcoming to all families, even if English is not their first language. Attend ELAC meetings or communicate with ELAC Representatives to stay aware of what school/district is doing to integrate families of English Language Learners.

  • eCommerce Lead

Work with the Fundraising Teams to update and monitor the Bubb PTA Square online store. Help facilitate a process for fulfilling orders. This role can be done primarily from home.

  • Corporate Matching Program Lead

Help manage and coordinate Bubb's Corporate Matching Program

  • Fundraising Team

Help the Fundraising team with planned programs this year, that benefit all our Bubb Cubs. For more information, email Ming at

  • Garden Committee Lead

This committee is perfect for the garden lover! Help lead a team of volunteers to maintain the school's gardens, and coordinate with the Living Classroom staff to keep our garden's classroom ready . Email if you're interested.

* Staff Holiday Star Wishlist Lead

Coordinate and communicate staff wishlist gift ideas for the holidays. Traditionally this is done with holiday "stars" pinned up outside each classroom. This year the aim is for online wishlist for each class.

* Summer Reading Program Co-Lead

Help organise and coordinate Bubb's popular Summer Reading Program and prize distribution. The bulk of the work takes place in the first few weeks of school. Email if you're interested.

* Food and Toy Drive Lead

Organise our annual food and toy collection to benefit Mountain View Los Altos Community Services Agency. Most of the work occurs in Nov-Dec. Email if you're interested.
