Speaker Bio

Odemi Pessu is an author, artist, and indigenous women's rights advocate. She earned her Master of Public Affairs at Brown University, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree in International Relations, concentrating in Political Economy. A published author, Odemi has 7+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial strategy, and creative digital communications across various industries. Odemi's first book, Force of Nature, encourages African and indigenous women to honor their divine feminine power for true liberation and decolonization of mind, body, and spirit. A visual artist, culture enthusiast, and zealot for socio-economic equity, Odemi is revolutionizing the way art and literature inspire socio-political transformation in African communities and across the globe.
