Brown’s first-ever Historically Underrepresented Groups (HUGS) Alumni Engagement Survey demonstrated a need for targeted, intersectional programming for alumni seeking opportunities to enhance their career navigation skills and expand their professional support network. Building off of Brown’s Career Initiative in the winter of 2022, we have developed a sprint series of career development programs tailored for our diverse and historically underserved alumni communities.
The Brown Alumni Affinity Career Initiative hopes to bring together alumni with shared identities and lived experiences to learn together and from each other. Through virtual career workshops led by alumni and networking events, this initiative provides participants with an opportunity to enhance their career navigation toolkit and grow their community capital (community + social capital).
Thank you for your participation!
