Artifact description: This is a Jeopardy game that I created for my 2nd-grade students during student teaching at Worth Elementary School. The students had just finished unit 1 of the math book, I made this game so that they could use it as a review game the day before the day of the test.
connection to ITPS standard: This artifact is connected to 4K) uses strategies to create a smoothly functioning learning community in which students assume responsibility for themselves and one another, participate in decision-making, work collaboratively and independently, use appropriate technology, and engage in purposeful learning activities because it allows the students to work both alone and with their team to get to the right answer for the question asked. Students had to work collaboratively with partners to get the points if they answered the question correctly.
Description of what was learned: The students learned that technology can be used in a fun way to review for a test. This just shows one subject when you can do this for all subjects in school.
Artifact Description: This is the behavior chart that the teacher had in her classroom which goes along with the student's sticker books. Each level on the chart is equal to 3 stickers being the most and 0 being below the green area on the chart.
Connection to ITPS standard: This artifact is connected to 4J) creates clear expectations and procedures for communication and behavior and a physical setting conducive to achieving classroom goals; This is an example of what the students knew as clear expectations since they were expected to stay on green the whole day.
Description of what was learned: I learned that having a chart like this gives the students a visual of how their day is going with behaviors. This also gives the students a chance to improve on their day and watch their clip move up.
