‘Junko’s Story’ is a personal testimonial of 83-year-old Hiroshima survivor, Junko Morimoto. Her recount is depicted through a responsive website where an illustrator created a series of 4 illustrations inspired by her testimony. These images are accompanied by a transcription of an interview, data visualisation, infographics, and video. This project was made for Hiroshima's 70th anniversary in 2015.
TASK - analysing Junko's Story
1- What contemporary issue is represented in this text?
2 - What are the advantages of telling this story using multiple modes?
3 - Create an evidence table - with three columns and three rows (see below)
Identify three techniques used in this text and complete your table by providing an example and analysing the effect. Remember your effect needs to be specific to this text - not just a generalised effect of the technique you have identified.
Choose from language techniques, visual techniques as well as interactive elements.
