The 'Spanish Armada' was the first of many visits to this part of Spain. We stayed at Graham's hacienda in Estepona and played El Paraiso and Atalya - fog delaying the start on one occasion. It was at this point we decided to introduce a new scoring system which became known as the Fiddle Factor. A simple calculation awarding extra stableford points to all players except the player leading on that day. This often caused a rejig of positions sometimes leading to bemusement of the whole group. The overall winner was Roger who just played a steady game throughout.
