Again we held two tours this year - driving across the bridge into Wales and staying on the Mumbles near Swansea. We started this tour at Ashburnham which is a much underrated links course and then Pennard on the Gower peninsula. We also played the Jack Nicklaus designed Machynys which proved a real test of golf with so much water! It was the the course at Royal Porthcawl that was the wow factor - world-class links ranked in the Worlds top 100 - sea views on every hole meant a very low scoring day for everyone.  The lead changed hands through the week and out of nowhere Roger kept his game together and won the week.
