What used to be a glorious statue celebrating the land's greatest war hero has now been "blessed" by Grandfather Nurgle...
Stratagemens: This scenario will be using Stratagems!
Game Length, A Game of Rounds & Turns, Set-Up & Game Sequence: These will be used as described in The Fields of Battle, in addition this scenario will use the following scenario specific rules.
Blessings of Grandfather Nurgle: Grandfather Nurgles Blessings are plentiful! At the start of each Game, after lists have been explained, but before spells are rolled, each player rolls on the following table for each entry in their muster list. This Blessing will only have effect in this Game.
Deployment: This scenario will use the map below.
The Corrupted Guardian: The Corrupted Guardian is a Special Feature as described in the Matched Play Guide. The Special Feature counts as Impassable Terrain, as described on page 135 of the Warhammer: The Old World Rulebook. The rules for Placing a Special Feature, as described in the Matched Play Guide, are applicable. For reference these have been included below:
Placing A Special Feature: Special features are placed when setting up the battlefield. A special feature must be placed in the centre of the battlefield. Once placed, a special feature does not scatter.
Blessings of the Corrupted Guardian: Each unit within 7” of The Corrupted Guardian has to roll on the Blessings of Grandfather Nurgle table at the start of their Game Turn (unless the unit has been turned into a Gibbering Mass of Nurgle). The unit receives an additional Blessing of Grandfather Nurgle. But Grandfather Nurgle is really generous with his Blessings, so generous that many might succumb to his Blessings!
If a duplicate is rolled for a Blessing the unit suffers D6+1 S4 hits, AP 1, but still gains the Blessing (Blessings 1, 2, 3 & stack);
If a triplicate is rolled for a Blessing the unit succumbs to the Blessings and is turned into a Gibbering Mass of Nurgle! (a triplicate can only be rolled for Blessings 1, 2, 3 & 6)
Gibbering Mass of Nurgle: The models in an unit which has been turned into a Gibbering Mass of Nurgle gain the following special rules:
Controlling The Corrupted Guardian: The Corrupted Guardian can be controlled by having the most units consisting out of more than 1 model, that are not fleeing and that have not succumbed to Stupidity, within 7” of The Corrupted Guardian. You measure center (of The Corrupted Guardian) to center (of the unit) to determine if a unit controls The Corrupted Guardian.
If both players have the same amount of units within range, neither player controls The Corrupted Guardian.
Victory! Calculate Victory Points as described on page 286 of the Warhammer: The Old World Rulebook, the Matched Play Guide and in the Bloodstorm.nl Rulings. Add the Victory Points scored in the scenario for a total score:
During Round 2, 3, 4 & 5, the player which controls the objective scores 250 Victory Points.
