Last Sunday, Kriselle and Bahareh helped to clip Dog Strangling Vines (DSV) and pull garlic mustard. Here are some pictures of our impressive work:
Before
Can you spot the goldenrods? 🧐
After
We use the Bradley Method to make space for the (native) goldenrods to have room to spread, which will push back the DSV in time. Often we find other natives too!
We managed to collect 1 bag of garlic mustard ends in another area that was filled with a variety of native plants. Among them I found this spotted jewelweed plant which is another resilient native that can compete well with invasive plants.
There's a lot more work to be done, so come join us next time! We can't wait to see what other native plants we will come across next!
